The Nepali government has decided to ban TikTok.

Rekha Sharma, the government spokesperson and minister of communication and information technology, announced that the Council of Ministers made the decision to ban TikTok in Nepal during its meeting on Monday.

She stated that TikTok was being banned because it was disrupting social harmony in the country.

According to Minister Sharma, the ban on TikTok will take effect immediately.

"It may take some time to completely ban it, but the decision to ban TikTok has been made. We are looking into how to effectively implement it," Sharma said.

Several countries around the world have partially or completely banned TikTok, including India, Canada, Australia, and France.
